Ayn Rand $20,000 Scholarship

Have you read one of Ayn Rand’s thought-provoking novels? Now’s the time! Enter an Ayn Rand Institute essay contest for your chance to win thousands of dollars in scholarship prize money.
ARI has held worldwide essay contests for students on Ayn Rand’s fiction for more than thirty years. This year we will award over 230 prizes, totaling more than $70,000.
NEW! – ARI is currently hosting two online reading groups for students on Anthem and The Fountainhead. We encourage anyone entering the essay contest to join. Recordings from a previous reading group on Atlas Shrugged are also available.
Questions? Write to us at essays@aynrand.org.
Sign up for updates on contest deadlines and tips on how to write a stronger essay.
Are you a fan of The Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged? Are you interested in learning more about Ayn Rand’s unique vision of human life? Come to one of the Ayn Rand Institute’s annual conferences for an in-depth exploration of Rand’s philosophy. You’ll learn from experts on Rand’s ideas and meet lots of other students eager to stay up all hours debating the existence of free will or the role of government in a free society.
ARI hosts two annual conferences: a weekend student conference, AynRandCon, in the fall, and a longer conference, OCON, in early summer. Thanks to the generosity of ARI donors, students attending either event can receive a scholarship support covering most travel and lodging costs. This page details how to apply for a scholarship to support your attendance of a conference. For details about the conferences, visit the AynRandCon and OCON websites.
